FAQ's

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic used in medicine since the 1960s and was used by medical doctors and dentists to treat pain. In 2017, the FDA-approved Ketamine treatment for depression.  Off-label it is also used to treat and improve symptoms of anxiety and PTSD.

Ketamine works by affecting the brain's ability to process pain signals. It blocks NMDA receptors, which are responsible for memory formation and learning. The effects of Ketamine can last from 45 minutes up to 3 hours, depending on the dosage and method of administration. When used as a treatment for depression, it works quickly—in less than an hour.  Ketamist® therapy is a series of Ketamine sessions, resulting in depression remission with minimal side effects.
