Treatment & Results
A series of Ketamist treatments can relieve depression for at least 3 to 6 months, allowing the tapering of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications. Other benefits include an accelerated “on-ramp” for people suffering from addiction, PTSD, and compulsive behaviors.
Evidence-based scientific research has established the benefits of using Ketamine for mental health/psychiatric disorders. Unlike other delivery methods like IV or injection, Ketamist Therapy (KetaMist®) is innovative in treating a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions. Ketamist gives you more control, better results, faster, and less time.
Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic used in medicine since the 1960s and was used by medical doctors and dentists to treat pain. In 2017, the FDA-approved Ketamine treatment for depression. Off-label it is also used to treat and improve symptoms of anxiety and PTSD.
Ketamine works by affecting the brain's ability to process pain signals. It blocks NMDA receptors, which are responsible for memory formation and learning. The effects of Ketamine can last from 45 minutes up to 3 hours, depending on the dosage and method of administration. When used as a treatment for depression, it works quickly—in less than an hour. Ketamist® therapy is a series of Ketamine sessions, resulting in depression remission with minimal side effects.

Within the mental health management group, we have a relaxation room that provides a safe, private, comfortable place for your journey to begin. The room and the experience are designed to set you at ease and help you feel comfortable while receiving your treatment. Treatment has been described as an oasis of zen, a comfortable nook with twinkle lights and a cozy relaxation recliner. A treatment specialist will check with you, take your blood pressure and monitor your progress. It is rare, but if nausea should occur, relief is provided.
You cannot drive or return to work following treatment. Many patients attend along with a comforting friend or family member or we can work with you to arrange a car service via electronic vehicle transportation (EVT app), Uber or Lyft.
A single treatment is $400, with multiple treatments recommended based on mood outcome and feedback you provide before and after to our treatment physician.
