Dr. Troy P. Noonan, MD, PA
Mental Health Management Group, Owner
I’m more than just a psychiatrist; I’m a compassionate adviser on your path to mental wellness. Let me share my background to help you feel confident and comfortable in our journey together.
I earned my Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree from Finch University at the Chicago Medical School, where I cultivated the knowledge and skills necessary to embark on a fulfilling career in psychiatry. As a proud member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Florida Psychiatric Society, I am dedicated to staying at the forefront of advancements in the medical field, ensuring you receive the best care possible.
My commitment to understanding the intricacies of the human mind led me to complete my General Psychiatry Residency at the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine. During this time, I honed my expertise in addressing a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, laying the foundation for a comprehensive and empathetic approach to patient care.
Recognizing the unique needs of children and adolescents, I am certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. These certifications reflect my dedication to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and competence in psychiatry.
Before diving into psychiatry, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University, where I developed a holistic perspective that I bring to every patient interaction. My goal is not just to treat symptoms but to understand and address the root causes, promoting lasting and meaningful changes in your mental well-being.
In our time together, you can expect a warm and supportive environment where your concerns are heard, and your journey toward mental health is respected and nurtured. I am here for you, providing compassionate care beyond the traditional clincal office setting.
Thank you for considering me as your ally on this path to wellness. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey to a happier and healthier life.
Warm regards,
Troy Noonan “Dr. Troy”
My Style: I work with you, listen to your concerns, and explain the treatment options and side effects – so that together, we develop a medical plan that makes you feel your best. I provide open and honest dialogue to help you find the right treatment plan and have a proven track record of success.
Teaching Experience: Since 2002, I have lectured students working on social work degrees on the uses of psychotropic drugs in children, adolescents, and adults. I have also lectured USF medical students on general and child psychiatry basics and consulted with medical students on case conferences that deal with complicated child and adolescent cases. I was the Chief Resident of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at USF’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Medicine and have served as a Medical Student Stress Prevention Counselor.
