Jamie Lee Durchin, PA-C, CAQ-Psychiatry

Our Team

Jamie joined the practice of Troy Noonan, MD in April of 2018, she offers psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations. She is originally from Pennsylvania and completed her undergraduate degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, majoring in biology and graduating cum laude in 2004. She attained her Master’s degree in physician assistant studies from King’s College in Wilkes-barre, PA, graduating with honors in 2006. Ms. Durchin has also attained a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Psychiatry through the NCCPA (National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants) related to her experience working in psychiatry, continuing medication education, and requirement to pass a specialty board examination every 10 years.

​For the first almost ten years of practice Jamie was employed in the private practice of Matthew Berger, MD in Moosic, PA, seeing adolescents and adults, including geriatric and special needs populations. Jamie worked with and was the clinical coordinator of 18 fellow mid-level practitioners. Along with outpatient work, she has experience in the inpatient setting, completing rounds at First Hospital Wyoming Valley (including dual diagnosis unit) and Moses Taylor Hospital’s Senior Medial Mental Health Unit. She also provided medication management to students of her alma mater, King’s College, at the on campus counseling center.

​After moving to Florida in 2016 Jamie worked with dual diagnosis patients in addiction medicine at Tri County Human Services in Lakeland and Bartow, FL, at their residential programs and had involvement with their Suboxone and Vivitrol programs in the past. She continues to work part time at the Meadowbrook Psychiatric & Counseling Centre in Lakeland, FL.

​She has been active with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) in the past while living in Pennsylvania, being on the board of the Scranton Chapter, and also is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
